The Pitcher Poem by MaryVivien Namata

The Pitcher

I asked HIM for HIS pitcher;
'HE said no i cannot give you my pitcher'
I asked HIM for HIS pitcher
'HE said no, but i will take you to the river'
I asked HIM for HIS pitcher
'HE said no, but i will feed you til yo thirst dries'

In HIS arms i needed not a pitcher anymore
HE was more than the pitcher
HE was more than a giver, HE became my lover,
HE is my lover forever!
