The Poet As A Mad Man, A Portrait Of An Artist Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Poet As A Mad Man, A Portrait Of An Artist

The poet as a mad man
Maddening it all,
Himself a mad man
Making others mad.

Holding the hands of the unknown reader,
Asking him to read his poems,
How has he written them,
Holding the hands, asking him to listen
How has he written?

A mad man's mad business is poetry writing,
A mad-mad, mad man's pursuit after fame,
A simpleton wanting to be great,
Great from poetry.
