The Poets Have Written
The poets have written
Of fields and plains.
And presented the clouds
Time and again.
They've told of the birds
And of the bees,
Have painted mountains
And beautiful trees.
They've presented heaven
From its place of light
And exposed hell
In its place of night.
They've penned songs,
Ballads, sonnets and odes;
There's no subject
Gone untold.
The poets have shared
Of the happy and sad
And every emotion
That's to be had.
And yet, they reach
More and more—
To tap a source
Of endless store.
Of the subjects on which poets write, have no beginning and hopefully will have no end. Great write Salley with an e.
There is an inexhaustible store of subjects for the poet to dwell upon and his fancy continues to explore regions excavated over and over again and still lying with treasures hidden! An absorbing write!

Beautiful write....v true, when a poet say of something, it will stay like a mountain...a joy for others! and others may want to create another taller mountain...so it goes, thus leaving a changing landscape! A 10.
