The Pose Poem by Nenden Suherni

The Pose

I have my last weapon
That most women will do
To keep you in my arms

I begged you to stay
With my poems and letters
With my tears and my lies
But still you turn your head again

This last weapon of desperation
Perhaps will make you come back
Or perhaps will scare you away

But still I need to try
To win or completely lose
Although I swallow bitterly
My own pride and dignity

With this pose I hope again
Your warm hand in my shoulder
With this pose I hope again
I can taste more your honey lips

This last effort of desperation
Only the starting point
To stubbornly stay by your Side
Or to completely forget about you….
