The Price I Pay For My Life Poem by Kat Smith

The Price I Pay For My Life

my eyes are burnt little holes in my face

I remember when they used to blue

my heart is missing its lover

I remember when that used to be you

my skin is cold and gray now

warm was traded for sickly, in terms of the way it does glow

my hair is dry and its dying

I remember its soft little curls

my brain is slowly deflating, memories pouring out of my ears
I remember when all that came out of me, was petty tears

my fingers look old an gnarled

I remember when their description was ''dainty''

my face has aged a million years
I remember when it only aged daily

this is what I've been left with

laid to waste by an unfortunate youth

This is all I have left now

''i remember when my love was you''
