The Prince Poem by Stefanie Fontker

The Prince

Rating: 5.0

Familiarity breeds contempt.
Of course, this is true
If one is contemptible.
When remaining unknown, aloof,
One may inspire respect.
One may inspire fear.

Machiavelli spoke much,
Perhaps too much
Of the one true Prince.
No man needs to be liked
If he is forever feared.
Flawed are the forever hated.

*Prose or poetry, see this as you will.

I learned something and found the answer, maybe I was fearing. Me and my outspokenness. Thank you for writing such poetry and opening the eyes of the blind.
