The Provider Poem by Dante' Camerlengo

The Provider

Rating: 5.0

I shot the doe eyed prom queen
right between the eyes, and
ate her
venison flesh.
I’ve killed many a cute little bunnies
and wore the musk gland of a mink
for months. I’ve kicked
stubborn 'possums
to death with steel-
toed boots.
I trapped rats with hands
frozen and sold
their hides, and I
was always given
hominy as a side.

I hate Hominy.
