The Quiet In The Storm Poem by Clyde Watanabe

The Quiet In The Storm

Raging storms
Quest to ease unrest
Chasing dreams of yesteryear
Broken dreams each time I shed a tear

All my life
Searching for the great escape
Forgiveness I have never known
Love I could never call my own

So much thunder
Lightning strike
Where’s my shelter
The Quiet in the storm

Just a lost soul
All my life
Lost and never to be found
Living in this underground

Rain rain go away
Leave me for some other day
Rain rain go away
Leave me for some other day

The Quiet in the storm
The Quiet in the storm

In my brokenness I’m on my knees
Tired of being so tired
I just can’t take no more
God, give me what’s in store

I can’t do it any more
My pride is gone
My will is broken
Don’t have words to be spoken

Will you be my shelter now?
Can you heal this broken heart?

The Quiet in the storm
The Quiet in the storm
