The Ragged Men Of Indian English Poetry Poem by Bijay Kant Dubey

The Ragged Men Of Indian English Poetry

The ragged men of Indian English poetry
As the Ph.D.guides,
Research scholars,
All but the ragged men,
The ragpickers,
The Irish freedom fighters of lady Gregory not,
But the Indian freedom fighters,
The balladists of note,
Singing of Irish freedom and liberation not,
But the Indian anthem
Unfurling and hoisting the flags
To claim over the land
As for the property rights,
The milkmen of Kipling
Mixing pond side water,
I mean paani
In milk
To write pidgin-Indian
Kiplingesque verses
Full of mixed
Sahebi Hindustani and English not,
But their theses.
