The Rain

I have heard
That Nature
Atunes to the most
Powerful of
Emotions.
So tell me
Nature,
Why do you cry?
Has a powerful person
Died or
Is a tragedy
Occuring in a
Far away land?
Tell me Nature,
Why do you weep?
For three days
I have watched
You cry.
I wonder
What it could
Be.
Please tell
Me Nature,
Will you Cry for
Me?

This allegorical poem is very nice.Indeed when it rains the nature seems to cry..It becomes especially clear the sensitivity of the poet and the inherent desire of blending with nature.Thank you for sharing....10+++ (Report) Reply

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
