The Rain Poem by Adam Christopher

The Rain

Rating: 5.0

Find my Love where no other has,
Find my dreams locked in the past,
Find my family scarred and gone,
Find my life tired and done,
For so long I thought it all my fault,
So many nights thinking about the monster that haunts me,
The Past,
It comes when I'm happy and rips away my joy like rain to sunshine,
And the rain,
Oh the rain is so cold and it feels as thought it will never stop,
Each drip a memory landing and driving through me without considering breaks,
So I lay sad and broken and just accept it, Accept the Rain.

Pain - depressive and deplorable condition of life at very low ebb is well depicted in the poem. An ugly situation when the sun stops shining for the individual, the person is sad and the sadness is so heavy one couldn't just get away from it. Never! An insightful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned in poetic diction with conviction. A lovely work of art. Thanks for sharing Adam. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
