The Rain Poem by jeanne harmon

The Rain

Rating: 4.8

The rain

The rain falls down on me
Time comes and goes
When the rain is pouring it shows
I close my eyes trying to wish it away
Sometimes it feels like the rain is here to stay
It rains and it pours even though I close the doors
Why does this rain torture me?
I run it follows me
I hide in my room it finds me
The rain falls quiet like a fawn
The thunder is silent
The lightning is invisible
Then I do one simple thing and it’s gone
Here comes the dawn
