The Rain Has Gone Poem by Maja Dezulovic

The Rain Has Gone

Now that the rain has gone
I can come out to play.

Now that the rain has gone
The sun is shining, happiness is all around me and the tears of yesterday have been washed away.

Now that the rain has gone
The weeds are taller and the pests are wiser.

Now that the rain has gone
I wake up and try to catch up to yesterday's wetted early riser.

Now that the rain has gone
The days are longer but the sun is hard.

Now that the rain has gone
It's easy to believe that all turmoil has gone and to look to the heavens with eyes starred.

Now that the rain has gone
I sit and wonder where it went
For I missed the rain and all the blessings it sent.
