The Reason I Am Alone Poem by Kristi Wilkinson

Traveling many a mile,
Sometimes from coast to coast,
Seeing new places, meeting new people,
But always alone.

Had what I thought
The love of my life,
She broke my heart,
Didn't want to be my wife.

Never could forgiver her
for all she put me through,
I'm not sure I would ever want
someone new.

She knew what she was doing,
Tore me all apart.
You learn alot about yourself
When you give away your heart.

So I sit here and wonder,
Where it is I went wrong,
Maybe I should sit
and write a lonely, love song.

But it all comes down to this,
She is gone and I am all alone,
I dont think I could ever
give someone the love I have shown.

And the reasons I'm alone
I know by heart,
I just don't want to spend
forever in the dark.
