The Red Dancing Shoes Poem by Scarlett Treat

The Red Dancing Shoes

Rating: 5.0

Let me dance just once more,
In my shining red shoes,
The ones which flash red sparkles
When I twirl around the floor
And have a red diamond
Shining on the toes.

Let my heart soar just once more
When the band plays 'Moon River, '
And Andy Williams sings just for me,
And you take me in your arms
And whirl me around and around.

Let me feel like flying just once more,
When the night is young,
And you gaze at me with 'that look! '

The possibilities are endless,
Life unfolds before me with its shining path,
My heart beats faster, my blood sings,
And life is unending... just once more.

Scarlett: A lot can happen on the dance floor. Hopes, dreams, anticipation, and breathless exhilaration. Life changes on the dance floor, and mostly to the good. Many thanks for this one. -G

Loved this one Scarlett, a dreamy romancing dance in some gorgeous red shoes. Delightful. I always wanted, when I was young, a pair of red shoes, but my Mother wouldn't let me have any, as they had no red polish in those days. there is something sensuous about red shoes, don't know why, but there it is, a bit devilish I suppose, daring and naughty. Oooooooooweeeeeeehhhhhh! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! Love and hugs Ernestine XXX
