The Red Herring Chronicles Poem by Bill Upton

The Red Herring Chronicles

Rating: 5.0

Here's to the internet bloggers-
Those all-knowing commentators who critique everything
From Obamacare to Steeler losses.
It's comforting to know that in our midst
Are 20/20 hindsight, retro forecasters
And Nostradamus-like soothsayers of future events.
Mere humans, but their opinions are so strong.
They expose the folly of every mistake that is made.
They offer foolproof guidance for future reference.
It's obvious, by their take, that they have the real answers,
Heed their enlightenment!
Here's to those winners!
Let us celebrate their passionate diatribes.
But, as Theodore Roosevelt said,
'The credit goes to the man who is ACTUALLY in the arena.'
That's the place these folks have never entered,
Nor is it likely they ever will.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I've become weary with internet story responders who simply criticize everything and everybody without any solutions to anything. Just psycho-babble.
