I remember a long time ago
the world was colorful
my gaze would cut itself in everything it touched
and bled
little by little all my red past
into a glass
the world became white
the world became black
and like in every silent film
silence began to speak
every man, every thing
had its own silence
we were all sitting at a big table
we raised toats in honor of white
we raised toats in honor of black
and drank all the red from our glasses
