Like a sheet of paper blown along the street
she walks the beach seeking sex and sun
she, the other white meat
for a black, sturdy child of the poor
a rasta, a child of Jah
who in the land of the sea and sun
knows the meek are not the ones
who would inherit the earth
but instead eat the dirt.
She who at home
froze with boredom in the cold
finds to her delight
a state that makes her spirit bright.
in the islands of the sea and sun
God is white.
She offers up to Him in time
a child that's brown.
