The Rest Poem by Lyn Paul

The Rest

Rating: 3.5

Just What
An Angry World
We Live
Once Free
To Just Breathe
Survive
Now
Killing ourselves
Unknowingly
Believing
Our Minutes
Too valuable
We all want more
More time
more money
Competing
Nothing is enough
But
Should we not
Just want
Love, health and just hope
For the rest
Settling
For just
Living, breathing
Being alive

Absolutely right. We should just be happy to be alive. Unfortunately that escapes me. An excellent write my friend.

We long for material prosperity at the cost of love, hope, inner happiness and a healthy self! Unfortunately we have the wrong priorities which make us have a meagre existence and not a fulfilling life! Great thoughts!

'We all want more' - there is no end to our wants. We often forget that health is our greatest wealth, and settle for insignificant money ignoring our health.

Yes life is more precious than any other need or desire and we should care about others lives not just ours. You have summed up a message in this great poem that all need to heed and follow for a better world. Kudos. And take care. Saw your nice pretty photos of u pal! Take care.
