The Revelation Poem by Suparnna Anilkumar

The Revelation

Rating: 5.0

Chaotic minds and broken dreams,
Thoughts on grief and mixed beliefs.
Conflicting ideas with indefinite feuds;
Barriers crossed, abandoned in between,
Innovation repulsed in the face of the old.
Traditions honoured, humanity departed.
Despicable ideals made anew
to support anarchists intending to brew
Hatred and misery while love recedes.
A world waging wars, compassion forgotten,
cornering innocents, killing millions,
hiding weapons, purging guilt;
loss on all sides, yet destruction prevails.
A day will come when mankind perceives
the damage inflicted and the lives shattered.
Then he'll repent for the sins committed,
endure the burden of the angst created.
If not overdue, he shall work
to amend for all that he had ravaged.
But now, mortal beings continue to deface,
trapping souls, tearing spirits in their hellish haze.
