The Revolting Clock Poem by Elisha De La Rosa

The Revolting Clock

Tick Tick Tick Tock!
Each minute will be like day
Better keep my doors lock
In my house I better stay

Upon the noisy shouts
And hateful words
From that crowd
Outside my door

The terror in my heart
Had exploded into my eyes
For I am not part
Of this madness, why?

Tick Tick Tick Tock!
For I am the target
I have hope in my stock
Hopefully I forget about them and this clock

The fire burns out my door
I smell smoke and anger out there
The fear that I store
in my heart, this madness I can't bear

Slowly as times goes
For time is against me
For all I know
I must keep my sanity

Tick Tick Tick Tock!
For they are still out there
Everyone is the enemy, including the clock
Kill me, for whom they don't care

The sky darken by
This madness
I try
To ask for forgiveness

I crouch into a corner
Scared for my life
For each minute grows longer
Ready to defend my self, I grabbed a knife

Tick Tick Tick Tock!
I have hope in my stock
Best to keep my doors lock
From the loud ticking of this clock
