The Riddle Poem by RIC BASTASA

The Riddle

it has a name
in seven letters
three are vowels

the moment
you call
its name

it simply
disappears

it only requires
that you
meditate
upon it

when you
shut your
mouth
when you
stand still
when nothing
falls
even a leaf
when no one
walks
when no one
talks
when no one
bothers
the world

be it in the city
or on top
of the mountain

this state
of being exists

(the answer
is silence)
