The Right To Lose Poem by KMC Centlivre

The Right To Lose

The cold wind blows like Christmastime
The icy chill goes to your bones
If heaven had a plan, it didn’t include you
When you got a right to lose

Your stomach growls from hunger pangs
Your tattered smile looks confused
If heaven don’t allow no more sufferin’ than you choose
Who gave you the right to lose?

Sunny weather looks far away
Better days a memory
Didn’t plan to be alone for such a while
Funny what happens to dreams

You’re beautiful, but no one knows
What’s left of you is all that shows
If heaven would just smile and take away these blues
And take away this right to lose

Who gave you the right to lose?
