Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood

We are what we think. our life decisions are based on our perception, and on personal core values. we do not contest for election to become popular.
Our life, our choice. hence we need not tread on bitten path.

this is a really phenomenal poem.
it clearly shows the diction that a man takes when he is confused and also that it depends on this he moves forth.

Title is commonly misquoted. He is said to have written this remembering a walk he took with his uncle as a boy.Fabulous.Fortune favours the brave perhaps, but we all wonder what might have been.We see the journey but not the destination. (Report) Reply

In life's varied instances, we find ourselves having to make similar choices. Another of my favorite Robert Frost poems. (Report) Reply

It's optimistic and dreamy to choose an undiscovered path, but in the end the happiness you are craving is more realistically attainable on the path most taken for there will be guides to help you get to your destination, because being lost without a map or reference point will have you wondering if you're on a path at all. I draw so much courage, and inspiration reading this poem, it has taught me that there's no harm in trying to do what others had fail to do, they didn't do because they were afraid to make mistakes and perhaps fail. So for long i have decided never to walk in any one's shadow, i've learnt to choose my path. (Report) Reply

I love this poem! Its one of my favorites...of why we should work hard, and choose the road which is hard but short, and not which is easy but long. What we do not know is that at the end of every difficult way, there is the simplicity and peacefulness of a village; while at the end of every smooth way, there are the high tensions of the fashion cities and cruel, jealous and proud of high class people. Hats off. (Report) Reply

I believe this poem is just saying that he chose to take the road less traveled by because he didn't want to conform or jump on the bandwagon of others. He wanted to make his own choice. Live by his own standard as opposes to society's. He was to be his own person. So he took the road less traveled by. (Report) Reply

Maybe he is saying that we try to find reasons for random choices which have huge repercussions. We try not to admit that our life was controlled by randomness. (Report) Reply

This poem means that there will be another road or another choice but sometimes you won't be able to pick both choices or ways (Report) Reply
