The Rock Poem by Deci Hernandez

The Rock

How great is my sin?
Should i return to my vomit?
Should i devour my spew?
Wickedness had entered me
And shamefulness has come out
Now am i not a desolate figure?
How great is my salvation!
For i am built upon a rock
Mercy was my death sentence
And born again into Christ i live
On a rock of salvation
And never shall i be
Taken off
For neither can the
Devil come to me
Nor will i have his lies
And seek his corruption
Neither will i delight in his company
Nor will i invite his friends
Great is my God
Great is my salvation
I live upon a rock
The same is evermore
My God is my salvation
And i listen
For i have it in me
To do all He has instrtucted
Great is my Instruction
And His name lasts forever!
