The Rodeo Years [in Senryu Form]

cowboy hats and boots
thunder of hooves in the chutes
...an 8 second ride
.
.
he walks with a limp
doesn't bother me at all
...cowboy is cowboy
.
.
honeysuckle rose
rising outside my window
...sweet sweet memories
.
.
the horse heaven hills
grow farther away with time
...the dreams of our youth
.

Starting with the adventurous horse ride and ending with the hills and mountain ranges disappearing out of sight, the memories of vivacious youth are fleeting fast through memory...... Enjoyed this flash trip down the memory lane!

Cont....Since childhood, rodeo always fascinates me. When a cowboy rides with his horse it seems to me that there is a unique and amazing bond created.
Great memories of yesteryears so vividly depicted and beautifully expressed in just minimal lines.

Very visual. Large poetic strokes paint the picture.as in a film. There's movement, there's hope But at the same time feelings tied with nostalgia grip the soul. Sensations that talk, very difficult to achieve, but Susan lassoed them, brillantly

Thank you- -I felt like people would wonder about that 3rd senryu and what it had to do about the rodeo years but you saw into the heart of this series.
