The Room Of... Poem by Gee Cii Schnider

The Room Of...

It once was the only place I felt safe
It was warmed by your protection
It sits below my feet,
Calling me
Should I dare go
To where I was once safe
To know that lost feeling
Lingering.
The empty room, cluttered with furniture
The walls painted over
The warmth walked out the door,
With you
It calls me, but do i dare
Claim it as my own,
Listen to it's call.
So I can re-live the feelings
of being lost, and lingering cold
Do I take the room of...
memories, and forgotton dreams
Do I take the room for...
frowns and stained tears
Do i dare claim it as my own
So i can re-live the lost and lingering cold
Of you walking out the door,
Deserting me

January 2008
So do I claim the room or run ten steps away and close the door...
