The Rush Of The Sound Poem by Jessica Bartolotta

The Rush Of The Sound

Soft winds blowing through an endless night,
Somebody tells me to do whats right.
Softly spoken words ringing in my ear,
Turning up the sound so only I can hear.
Feel the pulse beneath your flesh,
Dont fall back into it's depth,
Struggling for one more breath.

And there I go down again, and there I go down again.
I fall into your beautiful sound.

The waves consume my every need,
The want, the ache, the feed.
A lostness falls into my blood,
A rush of pure unselfish love.
My soul spreads wings and takes to flight,
Im thrown into the endless night.

Grasp my heart in your embrace.
And make me yours for this one moment of bliss,
Take that sound and place it gently on my lips.
Let me taste its bittersweet flavor,
Let me inhale this delicate pleasure.
The pulse, the beat, even the heat from my own skin,
Im longing for no end.

Feel the pulse beneath your flesh,
Dont fall back into it's depth,
Im Struggling for one last breath.

And there I go down again, and there I go down again.
I fall into your beautiful sound.
