The Russian Altruism Is Greeting You, Poem by Liza Sud

The Russian Altruism Is Greeting You,

The Russian Altruism is greeting you,
He's welcoming, he is inviting.
And even if you are forever Jew,
i.e. Semite - he is not Anti.

The Russian church is loving you,
since you become its faithful brother,
And it is She who cares and rules
above our land, like dear Mother!

I need your language and your dreams,
your abrogating of our Ego,
your breaking out from egoism -
new skin, new thread, new eyes, new level.

But it is John who knew it all,
and saw Light's face without Kabbalah.
The prophecy of Russian church -
is Christian faith, with all the answers.

His eyes were seeing the white light,
this light was what he radiated.
He is the veil above our land -
we breath like snow - TODAY, unending.

***

Your poem is not about a new discovery for yourself. What you reveal here has been present in the world for some time. But you are making it fresh and bright to increase people's spiritual awareness. St. John does nor appear until the 4th stanza but he has presided over these blessed events. It is Laitman (if I'm reading this properly) who is present from beginning to end, and you dispel negatives like antisemitism and bring everyone to a common ground in the Orthodox Church, which looms larger and stronger with each stanza. I think you are identifying both St. John and Laitman as catalysts for this sacred moment, but their virtues of humility keep them in the background. My Mom told Mary and me that the Archbishop himself baptized us in 1947 (!) because he wanted to be close to his flock. He also refused a driver and big car, he rode the bus with ordinary people of all faiths. Needless to say like the two men in your poem this Archbishop was loved and trusted by all Twin Citians.
