The Saddest Eyes Poem by Tylee Xian

The Saddest Eyes

Rating: 5.0

The saddest eyes
I ever looked into
were my own
They screamed of pain and anguish
but were strangely silent
They begged to be held
but warned not to touch
They had fire within
hot
searing
but they were cold
ice
numb
it was as if they had seen
all the treachery this world has to offer
yet they were some how innocent
unknowing of the corrupt world they existed in
they were too old for their age
but too young for their time
