The Sailboat Poem by ryan hopkins

The Sailboat

Rating: 5.0

I jump in my sailboat for my very first ride.
I sway round rocks when I tack or gybe.
I look at the wildlife hidden in this fine lake.
Some say it's infested with a water snake.

I jump in my sailboat for my very first ride.
And along this lake my sailboat will glide.
As I lap round the lake like I'm stuck on repeat.
I go faster and faster as I pull the sheet.

I jump in my sailboat for my very first ride.
And I happened to love it when I capsized.
As I lay there floating like a fish.
I realise the water was a little coldish.

I jump in my sailboat for my very first ride.
The wind picked up and I started to slide.
I pushed on the left on the tiller and it turned to the right.
That's when we hit someone that wasn't very bright.
