The Satellite Poem by R. Ariffin

The Satellite

Rating: 5.0

My heart is a satellite constantly orbiting your presence;
Remotely sensing my thoughts and signaling my infatuations;
Towards your ever embracing grace within each magnetic polar;
Locating and mapping every inches of hope and my expectations.

It revolves effortlessly above layers of atmospheric uncertainty;
Fueled and maneuvered only by the cosmic kinetic pull of love;
Tied and bound by your gravitational beauty and magnificence;
Witnessed, appreciated and praised by celestial stars above.

It endlessly captures and memorizes the colored aspects of you;
The white and the azure of your aptitude and loving capacity;
The emerald and the auburn of your kindness and affection;
All the while missing you, and your gratifying proximity.

My heart and soul will always revolve around your world;
Until it is time for me to return with burning irresolute heave;
Either I would crash into your arms of love and its brashness;
Or disintegrate into ashes of disappointments and grief.

Really enjoyed this. I love outer space poems about human love. I think there should be an entire genre devoted merely to that. And you would excel in that; above many others..(smile)
