The Savior and the Broken

In the Land of Eternal Darkness,
A scorching stardust shoots overhead,
Illuminating pale light into the unpromising, joyless abyss,
Burning all demons and the nonbelievers,
Guiding the abandoned and condemned,
Into the Land of Dreams.
The flaming evenstar smites upon the dull, rough ground,
Of this strange place,
As I gawked at the radiant aura of the heavenly being,
Her boundless majestic hair, a crown of eventide,
Freezes my racing heart, stealing the breath of life from me,
Her resonating musical voice travels between the planes of existence,
Making all the brave and bold men weep,
Her charming laughter, a lullaby to my unworthy ears,
Washes away all my doubts and sins,
Her deceptive, playful eyes conceal a keenness,
That can penetrate the physical barriers and stare at your whole soul.
She elegantly strides toward my sorrowful spirit,
Offering her delicate hand,
Promising the riches of golden days to come,
I reluctantly grip her smooth hand,
As we journeyed to the world beyond,
Into the Land of Dreams,
She is everything I am not,
But she is all I ever desired.

Kneel down, fair Love, and fill thyself with tears,
Girdle thyself with sighing for a girth

Cover thy lips and eyelids, let thine ears
