The Seven Deadlies Poem by Sun Shine

The Seven Deadlies

Resistance
Is a struggle
I can't quite seem to win

All locked in
My bubble
Checking off my list of sins

I practice
My sloth
With diligence-

There's a bit
Of patience
To my wrath -

I play abstinent
From lustful extravagance,
Still can't quite
Conquer temperance-

I envy your kindness greedily.
(Struggle to hide
What it means to me)
I swallow your words with pride.

This hunger,
It is gluttony.

But at least I'm admitting it
Humbly.

Just me in
My bubble
Checking off my list of sins.
