The Severity Of Your Love Poem by Jamie Ellen Christian

The Severity Of Your Love

Silenced by your cruelty
As if my ability to speak
has been choked from me
Struggling for air
As if you forced your fist
down my throat into my chest
stealing my breath away

Blinded by your barbarity
As if my vision my scope
has been removed from me
Squinting for sight
As if you gouged my eyes
down into my mind & thoughts
Confusing me of where I truly stand

Leave me out in a clearing
why dont you
naked and wet
unleash a storm upon me
let the lightening
pierce my heart
let the thunder
cower me to the ground

Slaughtered by your brutality
As if the center of my soul
has been ripped from me
Dispirited
As if you slit my wrist
down to the bone
bleeding out my will to live

In the wake of your aftermath
Tortured by the severity of your love
I beg you for mercy
If this could possibly be love at all
If it is not, then please
deal my final blow
and be done with me

Gosh, This is one epitome of succumbing to deadly charm of love or the song of Black widow male!
