The Sheen Of Life Poem by Hazel Durham

The Sheen Of Life

Rating: 5.0

The sheen of our health, is all part of our wealth,
A sheen that can be felt,
Like silk to the touch and as soft as velvet.
Living is two hearts that melt,
With the force of nature's enchantment,
Giving is a reminder of our inner jewels sent,
To a world of conflict and compassion,
Music is a beat of freedom in our weekly sessions,
Dance is our rhythm of emotions, taught in many lessons.
Hearts that break, crumble and decay,
Just part of our journey along the way,
Ending up at times in a heap of rubble,
Love can destroy and be part of our endless troubles,
Mystery doubles,
The sheen of life is fleeting,
Desires unleased with our endless longing,
For answers to all our questions,
That we dare to ask,
To discover the revealing certainty,
With the constant reminder of our struggles from our past youth,
We wear the heart-aching truth.

Yes, the sheen of life is fleeting. Let us hope that the burns are also not permanent and will be cured in course of life. We have to accept the ambivalence of life. Enjoyed!

Just Part Of Our Journey Along The Way.... A line so true.. yet so, so many have trouble overcoming their journey that it brings so much pain. To look at the lines on someones face this paints a picture of their life. I certainly have a few. Thank you Hazel x

Life sees many phases like a moon but a full moon always appears on the sky every month.
