The Show Must Keep Going On Poem by James Darwin Smith II

The Show Must Keep Going On

Wisp of attentive desire
Shining spectre residual
Metaphoric conclusions
An enigma's twisting course

On cold shoulders frozen
Paused without not knowing
Inhaling breathless anxiety
Blue in the face of distance
No matter how close things may seem

Too much time to ponder on
Actions take away the worries
Moving through the storm
An ever long journey
Keeping as strong as I could ever be

Tress of time's passing
Short release yet again
Uncommitted illusions
The method of a nomadic confusion

Broad horizon fighting
Stuck in emotion
Lungs barren
Suffocating panic's treason
Feeling further than learning the truth

Imagination's fury
Adventures come and go
The storm is more fun than it seems
An epic new endeavour
Star of my own enigmatic show

The show must keep going on!
