No Reason To Care

Rookie (9/4/94 / Somewhere)

...The... Signs...

the signs were all subtle
but I still didn't see
how she felt
blew right past me

I was too caught up
in me too much
to notice her
and I now see
it was her to suffer

my life was fine and dandy
as hers went to hell
hugging her father
threw a jail cell

I should of noticed
and I blame myself
that faithful night
I found a note on my shelf
it read like this

'Nothing in my life is bliss
And no one sees the tears I cry
you will only notice once I die
This pain you say you now feel
Is probably not even real
you made me feel worthless
was it all worth this?
you'll see my in a noose
and see that no one cut me lose
because nobody cared no one but you
I know it's sad but its true
so when you see my body
don't pretend to cry
because we both know
that would be a lie'

she signed this note in her own blood
in my eyes tears began to flood
I cried all through the night
the next morning picking up a knife
I ended it all
and joined my best friend
and I will never leave her side again!

Poem of the Day

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

Good-night? ah! no; the hour is ill
Which severs those it should unite;
Let us remain together still,
Then it will be good night.

How can I call the lone night good,
