The Silence With Ocd Poem by Chris Purser

The Silence With Ocd

Rating: 3.0

She walks along the pavement
Not treading on the cracks
Fearing something bad will happen
She stays tense and cant relax

Finally she arrives at school
A place to learn and socialise
She sits alone and wonders
Whats wrong with her and silently cries

She avoids touching door knobs
And trys to disguise
Whats going on in her head
She tries and tries and tries

She can't concentrate in lessons
Her confidence is low
She prays even numbers to be normal
In hope her pain will go away

She washes almost constantly
Her hands get quite sore
It seems nothing can stop this
From growing more and more and more

Her problem is quite big now
But her mummy dosnt know
Exactly whats its like
When OCD takes it's toll
