The Small Part Poem by Joseph Narusiewicz

The Small Part

I suckle another day
Fortunate with simple life
Boundaries defined in light
Pages of soft green meadows
Notes from an acoustic guitar
Wind and sea
Out my window peace
My first cup of fresh coffee

How I wish everyone was happy!
I play the hand dealt to me
My role is not the hero
Confined to a voyeur
Watching it unfold
Tragedy
Prophecy
Acceptance

I have chosen the small part
