The Smells And Love Of Thanksgiving Poem by Marilyn Lott

The Smells And Love Of Thanksgiving

A week before that special day
We start to clean our home
We try to make it sparkle
Where friends and relatives roam

The shopping for Mr. Turkey
Is done with love and care
Along with all the extras
That make that day so rare

Then comes all the cookin’
The smells just fill the air
But more than that we notice
How the love is everywhere.

With family ‘round the table
As dear ones gather near
It’s that Love that matters most of all
The sweetness brings a tear!
