The Song Of Life: 12. Never The Unreal Exists Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

The Song Of Life: 12. Never The Unreal Exists

Never can the unreal exist,
The real ceases to be the least,
Perceived have the seekers of truth
Reality O of them both!

Truth forever lives with the same face,
For all time to come, in all space;
Untruth has no real face, nor place;
The seer in a seeker doth
Know Reality of both! || 2.16 ||

Here is the transliteration with the meanings of Sanskrit words:

na asatah vidyate bhāvah na abhāvah vidyate satah |
ubhayoh api dŗśhţah antah tu anayoh tattva-darśhibhih ||

na a-satah: never the unreal, what changes with time (the reference here is to body): vidyate: exists; bhāvah: being, becoming; na a-bhāvah: never non-being, non-existing; vidyate: is found; satah: of the real, of the existent (the soul): ubhayoh: of both; api: indeed, surely; dŗśhţah: perceived, seen, discerned; antah tu: the end, conclusion indeed; anayoh: of these/them (two): tattva- darśhibhih: by the seers of truth/reality.
