The Spleen Poem by Frederick McGettrick
The Spleen
Of all my organs, the one most keen
would likely be the majestic spleen.
It regulates fluids with relative ease
and produces lymphocytes, as fast as you please.
Other organs will make you cough and sneeze,
where the spleen causes nothing, not even a wheeze.
It's been taken for granted, that is most true,
but I don't think I've ever seen one. Have you?
