The Star Poem by Stephanie Breuer

The Star

I love you so my wandering Star
Sometimes so near and then so far
You seem to seek the light of day
Let me help you if I may

Chasing dreams at night,
Innocent, pure, above the Might
Of others who not wish you well
And make this world a living Hell

God bless your sweet oblivion still
And keep your smile as bright as it can be
My dearest star, beloved child
Lighting up the darkest night
Open your mind and free your will
Twinkle on forevermore
Be free
