It was nine months ago today
On a sunny, cold December day
I asked you out for lunch
Not sure you'd accept but I had a hunch
I saw you so beautiful from your head to your feet
My heart rate quickly increased its beat
We clicked from the very start
I knew it was you that belonged in my heart
Our bond is strong and true
From day one it just continually grew
Never have I loved anyone as deeply as I do you
You are everything I hold to be true
I'll love you from morning to night
Never letting you out of my sight
You have my heart
You've had it from the start
I will protect you from all harm
You are safe inside my arms
You've ignited feelings I'd buried deep inside
Our connection has opened my heart up wide
I've shared with you things I've never told another
I trust your discretion above any other
I hope it's always easy for you to see
