The State Of The Earth Address Poem by Cynthia Buhain-baello

The State Of The Earth Address

The earth is in a kaleidoscope
Of misery devoid of hope

Swirling around its global axis
Lost in its madness such as this.

Wars and famine, hate abound
Death and destruction now surrounds.

Loss of homes and loss of lives
Lost even is the will to survive.

The most dangerous animal now set free
Man, the thinker, can no longer see

The bullets he fires, the bombs he blows
Spread hate like fire, will he never know?

A hornet's nest had been opened wide
Stirring more wars that break men inside,

Though living they're dead devouring life
Feeding on nations with their endless strife.
