The Storm Kings Poem by jon gutmacher

The Storm Kings

The Storm Kings
They cometh
They bringeth the rain
Thor’s hammer doest pound
again and again

the thunderclaps strong
the lightening bolts strike
the animals shudder
all huddled
with fright

Oh, Odin!
Oh, Odin!
Protect us from harm!
call on the Heros
save our ships
save our farms

For the Jotnar are angry
the Giants are quick
they throw their bolts
at us
the rain comes
too quick

And as we ride out
the rough of the storm
we drink
from the Ale
until it’s
all gone
