The Stranger Poem by Matthew Baughman

The Stranger

Rating: 2.8

The stranger I just met today,
in many more than just one way,
has brought about such certain joy,
it’s sad to say, I never knew him before.

He led me off the path of dark,
which brings about this brand new start,
now my life seems much more full,
I’m glad to say, life‘s not that cruel.

My pain and sorrow, seem so far away;
and to think, I all but took my life that day.
forever now my life’s complete,
I’m proud to say, it ended not in defeat.

The stranger I just met today,
should be no stranger to anyone;
that stranger was me,
and now i know, my life has just begun.
