The Street Watcher Poem by JOSEPH MABIJA

The Street Watcher

I saw a man walking around hungry
Next day he passed bye angry
A stolen car passing bye speeding, same face concur
A dead man covered with coat end of his story
The court held in the street, gypsies playing jury
Police take bribery, end of judgment
A little abandoned kid asking for shillings
That’s where my eyes got filled with tears
Blinding my perspective to this day
That should answer your question why I live this way
I saw a hopeless man trying to keep the faith
A preacher in the corner telling the truth
Drunken and soba men ignoring him like he is speaking foreign
Different placards risen in my face like im the president
Guards standing in the corners of the big fancy buildings
Pride taking away the main purpose for war
Watching lives passing bye like hours
Amazing today but fading like flowers
I loose a day in everyday that passes
So do you & so we have a thing in common
Reporters selling thugs's daily chronicles
my eyes fed with wits depictions
every word I spell might appear thrilling
but im just a little abandoned kid asking for a shilling
