The Strength In Me Poem by nidhin valsan

The Strength In Me

Closing my eyes
i see you in me,
leaving you behind
i know you are watching me,
i remember for the first time
you took me to the top of a cliff
the morning shower of the rissing sun
piercing in my eyes,
showing me the cloud,
i know you want me to take the leap
as i leave you from your arm
i beleive,
im taking my first flight
i know you are watching me

again
i remember,
in december
it was raining over the sea,
clumsy, the tempest
wishing me the best
you push me to the sea
i know you want me to take the dip
as i dive into the shallow trench
i know you are watching me

once,
as the night embraced the woods,
you took me there,
in the silence
escaping the gliterring eyes,
you taught me
the value of patience,
as i go for my first hunt
i know you are watching me

untold and untaught
yet from the warmth of your eyes,
i learned from you,
the lessons of love and compassion
i see the tears of joy,
watching me grow; step by step.
in life,
whenever i moved towards a fiasco,
i remember,
you are watching me.
